From the Pine Point and Higgins Beach neighborhoods to the newer developments inland, Scarborough is a mix, and so are the windows. Tall glass on new construction, older capes near the marsh, we clean all of it.
On the glass we can reach, we still do it by hand: a wet strip washer to loosen the grime, then a squeegee pulled across in one clean stroke so nothing streaks, and a cloth to detail the corners. For anything baked on, like bug residue, sap, or hard-water spotting, a pass with #0000 steel wool shears it off without leaving a scratch. Up high, on second and third stories, we switch to a water-fed pole running purified water, filtered through reverse osmosis and a deionizing resin so every mineral is stripped out. The brush scrubs, the pole rinses, and the glass dries clear on its own, no spots and no ladders against your siding.
The marsh and beach air carries salt and moisture, and spring pollen is heavy here, so most homeowners have us out at least twice a season to keep the glass clear. Inside and out, screens and tracks included.
FAQ
I’ve got a lot of tall windows on a new build. Can you reach them? Yes. The water-fed pole reaches two to three stories from the ground, so we clear the tall glass without ladders.
Do you do inside and out? We do, plus the screens and tracks every visit.
